Very few things in this world are as magical as watching fireworks at a Disney park… truly

(09-17) 21:34 PDT SAN JOSE — San Jose police searching for a parolee in a spree of crimes, including a gas station shooting and the kidnapping of a woman, found the missing victim’s body inside a downtown home Saturday morning.
The body of Cindy Nguyen, 60, of Campbell was discovered at about 8 a.m. on the 500 block of North 12th Street, a residence that is associated with the suspect, Paul Ray Castillo, 33, of San Jose. Castillo remains at large, authorities said.
“San Jose experienced a crime wave that we have not seen in a single day in a very, very long time, and I’m very concerned that the suspect we believe responsible for all the events from (Friday) is currently on the loose,” said San Jose Police Chief Chris Moore.
Police and Santa Clara County medical examiner’s officials are investigating. The cause of the woman’s death hasn’t been released.
The series of crimes began about 11 a.m. Friday when Castillo tried to rob a 42-year-old San Jose man pumping gas at the Chevron station at Lincoln and Curtner avenues in San Jose’s Willow Glen neighborhood and shot him. The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.
The assailant then fled in a Nissan to the Plant shopping center at Monterey Road and Curtner, about a mile away. There, police believe Castillo came across Nguyen, who apparently was experiencing some trouble with her white Lexus.
Nguyen had called her boss, Nick Pham, “asking for one of us to help come out and give her a jump because her battery died,” Pham told reporters. “Five minutes later, she called back and said a Hispanic person is offering to help her. And that’s the last we heard of her.”
Shortly before 6 p.m. Friday, police tracked the Lexus to an apartment complex near King and Mabury roads, where they spotted the suspect and shot at him, San Jose police Sgt. Jason Dwyer said.
“I can tell you that they felt threatened enough to where they felt deadly force was necessary,” Dwyer said. “They did engage him with gunfire, and we do not know at this point if we hit him.”
Police cordoned off the area and searched unsuccessfully for him. Officers called off the search at the apartment complex at 5 a.m. Saturday.
Castillo is described as 5 feet 9, 210 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a thin mustache. He should be considered armed and dangerous, police said. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call police at (408) 277-4166.
